Memorandum of Understanding SENTRAL College Penang & Malaysian Women Tourist Guide Association
In the august presence of YB Yeoh Soon Hin, Penang State Executive Councilor Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), Dr Chiang Geok Lian, Principal / CEO of SENTRAL College Penang and Ms Erina Loo, Chairwoman, Malaysian Women Tourist Guide Association (MWTGA) signs an MoU on 21/2/2022. The other dignitaries present on the occasion include Mr Jonathan Freddy P. Bagang, Penang State Director, Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Mr Ooi Chok Yan, Chief Executive Director, Penang Global Tourism and Mr Khoo Boo Lim, Executive Director, StudyPENANG.
This MoU is a form of mutual commitment in complimenting each other’s expertise and function in the perspective of reskilling and upskilling of existing tourist guides and new guides to be speciality guides. The collaboration generates more opportunities to develop and enrich the tourism-related training programs, benchmarking the best practices in the industry SDG 17, Partnership for the Goals.
We endeavour to promote Penang as the favoured travel destination where tourists will be able to indulge in its rich cultural heritage and diversity and at the same time promote tourism for Sustainable Development Goals.
