Penang Goes Orange 2024: #Swipe2Stop!
The Penang Goes Orange 2024 Campaign was officially launched on 7/12/24 at UiTM Penang Branch, Permatang Pauh Campus, drawing an incredible turnout of over 800 participants! We at SENTRAL College Penang are proud to partner in this impactful initiative. This campaign is a powerful symbol of our collective stand against gender-based violence, in line with the global UN Women initiative, “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.”
The launch was officiated by YB Puan Lim Siew Khim, Penang’s EXCO for Social Development, Welfare, and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs. We were also honored by the presence of Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Kay Dora Abd Ghani, Deputy Rector of Research, Industry Networking, Society & Alumni, representing our gracious host, UiTM Penang Branch.
With this year’s theme, #Swipe2Stop, the campaign focuses on tackling the pressing issue of online sexual violence, especially among youth. Through Penang Goes Orange, we aim to raise awareness, support survivors, and advocate for stronger legal protections.
Let’s come together to champion the #Swipe2Stop movement and work toward a safer, more respectful digital world. Join us in making a difference!
