This scholarship is announced under the prerogative of the Board of Directors or the Principal on special circumstances whereby such awards are given to financially challenged students with excellent academic result.

ALL DIPLOMA PROGRAMS – DBS, DIA, DCST, DTM, DECE FOR ALL INTAKES IN 2023

• The scholarship is open to all qualified Malaysian students under the B40 category (BSH of parents or grandparents are accepted); sat for their 2022 SPM examinations and are new students of SENTRAL College Penang. Registration fee of RM300 reduced to RM150
• The 50% scholarship can only be utilised to pay the tuition fees of the selected programme.
• Should the student withdraw from the programme of study prematurely the scholarship will be revoked and any outstanding fees due to the College must be paid by the student.
• The scholarship is only applicable to one selected programme – Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Computer Systems Technology, Diploma in Tourism Management, Diploma in Early Childhood Education – for two (2) years & four (4) months.
• The student must achieve and maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA on every semester (results calculated DO NOT include MPU subjects) to continue to be eligible for the scholarship.
• In any semesters where the student’s performance is not maintained, the scholarship will be suspended and the student must pay the full tuition fee for that semester. However, the scholarship will be re-instated should the student’s academic performance regain the minimum GCP of 3.5 on the following semester.
• The student must contribute at least 20 hours per year of their time to assist SENTRAL in peer counselling, extra-curricular activities, marketing, promotional activities and other administrative tasks.
• The student can hold only one scholarship or rebate offered by SENTRAL at any one time.
• The terms and conditions of the SENTRAL Hope Scholarship may change from time to time as deemed appropriate by the College and any changes will apply immediately.

• The scholarship is open to all qualified Malaysian students who have sat for their 2022 SPM examinations and are new students of SENTRAL College Penang. Registration fee of RM300 reduced to RM150
• Application of the scholarship is based on actual 2022 SPM examination result. The student qualifies with minimum entry of 3 credits and a pass in B.M. and Sejarah. The student’s family are from the following category:
  • Parents with Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) status;
  • Single parent status;
  • Students with Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) status.
• The 15% scholarship can only be utilised to pay the tuition fees of the selected programme.
• Should the student withdraw from the programme of study prematurely the scholarship will be revoked and any outstanding fees due to the College must be paid by the student.
• The scholarship is only applicable to one selected programme – Diploma in Business Studies, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Computer Systems Technology, Diploma in Tourism Management, Diploma in Early Childhood Education – for two (2) years & four (4) months.

SENTRAL works closely with The Star newspaper to provide Scholarships to students to pursue programmes at SENTRAL. These scholarships cover a wide range of fields and disciplines, from entry-level programmes to undergraduate education and professional studies. The best thing is the scholarships are all bond-free.

• Malaysian citizens not more than 25 years of age
• Excel in extra-curricular activities or active in sports
• Not bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or awards from other educational institutions or organisations
• Possess reasonably good result in SPM / UEC or equivalent (for Foundation / Diploma courses).
• Possess reasonably good results in STPM / UEC or equivalent (for Degree courses)
